RECIPE PREPARATION Chicken skewers with yogurt and saffron:

Chicken breast is cut into equal pieces.

Grilled chicken skewers in yogurt and grilled vegetables

When you feel the need for a simple, quick and easy to digest snack, you can improvise something very good from a piece of chicken (boneless breast or leg) and a few vegetables.
In larger quantities, it can also be an appetizer for a meal with more guests.

Ingredients (4 servings)
600 gr chicken breast, boned
vegetables: 1-2 bell peppers, 1-2 zucchini, an onion
Marinade: a cup of yogurt, 1/2 lime, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
olive oil, salt, pepper

1.Chicken breast, cut into thin strips, marinate in a mixture of yogurt, lime juice and chopped parsley. Add salt and pepper, keep cold for a quarter of an hour, then stick in skewer sticks (which are good to keep in water beforehand).

2.Cut the vegetables into pieces, sprinkle with olive oil, mix with a little chopped parsley, salt and pepper.

3.Use a hob or grill pan in this case, a Teflon one is very good.

Today we present you a delicious recipe for chicken skewers, perfect for a lunch with family or friends. It is prepared very quickly, it always impresses with its taste, but the smell also leaves anyone speechless. As a bonus, chicken is healthier than pork or beef.

If you want, alternate the chicken pieces with vegetables or even fruits (onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, pineapples, etc.). You will get a richer, tastier and healthier meal. In addition, vegetables and fruits do not require marinating, such as meat. They just need to be washed and cut, after which they are ready to be fried.

Ingredients (4 servings)

For skewers

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 100 ml oil
  • lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon of turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • ½ teaspoon with hot peppers / chili
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the Tzatziki sauce

  • 300 gr Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • half a bunch of dill
  • 1 cucumber

Method of preparation

Cut the chicken into cubes or strips. Mix the rest of the ingredients until a marinade is obtained, which is then poured over the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours. After marinating, remove the meat from the refrigerator about an hour before cooking to reach room temperature. Place the meat on the skewer sticks and place it either on a hot grill or on a tray lined with baking paper, which is placed in the preheated oven.

From time to time, the skewers are sprinkled with the sauce in which they were marinated.

For the Tzatziki sauce, grind the garlic and rub with a little salt until it becomes like a cream. Add the mustard, vinegar and gradually the oil.
